Vitals from radar reflections
I built the signal-processing firmware on an Infineon BGT60TR13C 60 GHz radar sensor. It monitors a dog’s heart rate and breathing to ±0.5 bpm accuracy.
Three modules, one board
The product used three separate connectivity modules. I folded them into a single custom PCB around the SIMCOM A7672S (LTE and GPS), which cut per-unit connectivity cost by 18%.
Power and positioning
I designed the battery management system for LiFePO4 cells and evaluated NavIC as an alternative to GPS.
